Solo now, team async
Online brainstorming tool, no workshop required
An online brainstorming tool should not require booking a room, a facilitator and ninety minutes. Brainstormer runs a full brainstorm in the browser: solo in minutes, or async with your team voting on a shared wall.
- A complete brainstorm in the browser, in minutes
- Async team walls: diverge on your time, converge together
- Dot-voting and facilitator mode for live sessions
- The meeting starts at the decision, not the blank board

The workshop was never the point
Team brainstorming online usually means a calendar invite, a video call, a shared whiteboard, and forty minutes of warming up before the first honest idea. The workshop format survives because it used to be the only way to get parallel thinking from a group. It is not anymore.
In Brainstormer the wall does the parallelizing. Each teammate opens the challenge when they have ten minutes, reads the ideas already there, adds their own (the AI builds on each contribution), and dot-votes the ones that resonate. By Friday the wall is diverged, voted and ready for the one short call where you converge and pick. Our guide on how to run a brainstorming session covers both formats honestly.
Solo online brainstorming that does not feel solo
Working alone, the tool is the room: it generates the first ten directions so you never face a blank page, runs SCAMPER or Six Hats when you want structure, and pushes back on your seeds instead of nodding. The full arc, from challenge to scored shortlist, fits inside a coffee.
Nothing to install, nothing to facilitate: it runs in any modern browser, and the brainstorming app experience works from a phone when the idea hits on the walk.
Pick your shape: live, async, or alone
Solo at $16 per month covers unlimited personal brainstorms with every framework. Team at $99 per month adds shared workspaces, async voting, a common idea library and facilitator mode for the sessions you still want to run live. Either way the output is the same: clusters, a scored shortlist, and one pick with the reasons attached.

Questions
Does team brainstorming online require everyone at the same time?
No. Async is the default: teammates add and vote on their own schedule, the AI keeps the wall diverse, and you converge in one short session or fully async with dot-scoring.
Can we still run a live session with it?
Yes. Facilitator mode on the Team plan gives a session runner timers, lens switching and a reveal step, useful for workshops that deserve to stay live.
