Is this not just ChatGPT with extra steps?
No. A chat thread gives you one linear list of ideas that tend to sound alike, and they die in the scrollback. Brainstormer runs your challenge past six standing personas at once, so the Skeptic and the Engineer answer alongside the Optimist, then it converges: a shortlist of the strongest ideas and one pick with the reasoning written out. Different job: not "give me ideas" but "get me from stuck to decided".
Will the ideas be generic?
Some ideas in any brainstorm are obvious, and that is fine: the obvious ones prove the wall is honest. Six personas with genuinely different jobs pull the run apart, because what the Customer wants and what the Engineer is willing to build are rarely the same idea. You stay the judge: Brainstormer widens your thinking and speeds up your decision, it does not pretend to know your business better than you do.
Is my challenge confidential?
Yes. Your challenges and ideas are private by default, are never used to train models, and you can delete them at any time. Agencies and product teams use Brainstormer for client and roadmap work for exactly this reason.
How is this different from Miro or Mural?
Miro and Mural are excellent whiteboards, but they are canvases: you bring the method, the facilitation and the energy, and the AI assist is bolted onto a blank board. Brainstormer is the partner, not the canvas. It generates the ideas from six angles and converges to a shortlist and a pick. It is also narrower on purpose: no diagramming, no general whiteboarding. How much does it cost?
Solo is $16 per month billed yearly, most people pick Pro at $39 per month, and Team is $99 per month. Enterprise is invoiced and arranged with sales. A free account gets 3 full brainstorms every month with no credit card, and paying removes that monthly cap. The sample brainstorm on this page is the test drive with no signup at all.
Can my whole team use it?
Teammates can each hold an account and run uncapped brainstorms on a paid plan, and the shortlist and pick from any run are easy to paste into wherever your team already decides things. To be straight with you: there are no shared workspaces, no shared idea library and no in-app voting today. Every account is its own. If shared workspaces are what you are buying, wait for us to ship them rather than paying for them now.
Do I need to know any brainstorming technique first?
No. You type the challenge the way you would say it out loud and the six personas do the rest. There is no method to pick, no template to fill in and no facilitation to run. If you want to read up on the classic techniques anyway, the blog covers them, but nothing on it is homework you need before your first session.
What actually happens when I run a brainstorm?
Your challenge goes to six standing personas: the Optimist, the Skeptic, the Customer, the Engineer, the Marketer and the Visionary. Each returns its own ideas with a short explanation, which is around twenty in total. Then the run converges: a shortlist of the strongest few, and one winner named with the reasoning written out. That is the whole product, and there is nothing to configure.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Brainstormer runs in any modern browser on phone, tablet and desktop. The wall becomes a compact two-column deck on small screens, and sessions sync across devices.
What happens to my data if I leave?
Delete your account whenever you want; deletion removes your challenges and ideas. Nothing you brainstorm is ever used to train models.
